"Aside from the great British over-driven tones of the Classic channel, the AMP1 is a perfect pedal platform using the Clean channel as it gives me the best of both worlds with an American/British crossover tone that really comes alive when using pedals.

Using the AMP1 in conjunction with a pedal switching system and the 4 cable method, I am able to construct any sound I need including a hybrid sound by bypassing the preamp section of the AMP1 and using a preamp model straight into the nanotube output stage of the AMP1 with any combination of my pedals.

Another great feature of the AMP1 is its's size. Using the BluGuitar EasyLock system it sits securely on my pedal board and is easily removable should I need to drop it into a gig bag for a small gig. www.dustbowl.tv "

Loop A:

Top Top Top!!! Weiter so…

Was macht das ganze so rund? Ganz einfach!

In diesem Sinne, Keep on Rockin´ !"

"This is my brand new Temple Audio Design pedalboard that I bought just to fit the Amp1 and the Remote1 together. the signal goes into the Polytune, then to the WhaWha, after that to the Nova Drive and in last to the Nova Modulation and to the input of the amp. The Nova Delay is just in the FX Loop of the Amp1, all alone. The Remote 1 is connected to the Amp1 on propper connection.

I also have a power supply underneath the board and all toguether, even with that ammount of cables near by, the AMP1 behaves silently, without hiss or hum comming from spaghetty cable assembly.

Now, talking about playing it's another thing. If you expect this amp to behave like a normal Transistor Amp, you are wrong, just because it is not a normal transistor amp. this Amp has a valve in the power section and It breaks up like a pure valve amp and it reacts to your fingers just like one, due to this Russian Military Grade Valve integrated in the "head/pedal". Controls are easy to operate and customizable enough to get great tones out of this "little" huge head. You can adjust the boost to get just a mild overdrive sound on any of the amp settings you are playing, or you can blast your face off if you dare to give more boost and try other gain stages. Should say that it works properly in both situations.

Reverb is very nice but in my opinion it should be more incisive, and by this I mean, louder from lower levels.

Clean channel has somehow a very fenderish voicing, wich in my opinion is good, since that's what we need it for...clean, very clean sound. If you turn the volume up, right near 8 (at least with me) it starts to break up very nicely. You can even give a diferent voice to the tone by using one of the side knobs, propperly for that, making it more bright or more "dark" regardless the EQ.

The Vintage channel, as it is called, has a more vintage voicing wich can be used for excelent rythm sounds as well as a very nice vintage "slow hands" (Eric Clapton) tones or other's in the gendre. It has plenty of gain also for a Vintage channel wich is intended to play more bluesy sounds. You can cut the mix just by boosting and have great lead tones.

The Plexi channel...oops sorry, I mean Classic Channel ;), is that kind of sound that guys like me, aged 38, grew up listening to, if you listen to rock of course. It's a crancked up Marshall if you want it to be or it might be any other different thing depending on the gain and EQ settings. I use it to get that creamy lead sound that when you roll up the volume pot or a mildier rythm sound when I bring it down. and believe me, this amp responds to your voulme and tone settings in the guitar, it is very dinamic.

The Modern channel is kind of a more high gain setting that can get near the Mesa Boogie sound but also be more like a High Gain Glam Rock kind of sound for pinch harmonics and those other marvelous high gain tricks that talented guys (not like me) can do...and by this I can tell you that I use this channel to play "Rock you like a Hurricane" from Scorpions and it works just perfect :).

If you are bored at this time, just from reading, I can tell you that the best is yet to come. Yes, and what is better than getting good tones???? Being able to keep them and save them for future venues. Yes We Can do it, using the Remote1 controller. It's easy to do and do not confuse easy to do with hard to get my favourite sounds...when you have a lot to choose you might become a little cheeky... :). So you can save your own sounds or just activate and deactivate ALL AMP1's funcions/features like the FX Loop or the reverb, or changebetween the different channels. 2 Aditional features that I like a lot: First is the 2nd master volume that may work like a volume boost, making you overtake the Drummer and the Keyboards with the easiness of a V8, in second if you want to play with an excelent overdriven tone but in a lower volume, there is a power soak that helps you to maitain the good tone.

As a conclusion I have to say that besides these features it is small, very portable and very well built. I was about to choose other amp that Thomas Blug had designed, on another brand but I gave this amp a chance and I do not regret at all!!! You should do the same, give it a chance ;)."

"Finally, I have a portable guitar rig (Bluguitar AMP1, Fatcab and Remote-1) without compromising my tone. I can use this setup from small clubs to huge open-air stages with the Deeflexx System. Thanks a lot Thomas and Hoovi."
